Thermochemical Conversion of Biomass for Syngas Production: Current Status and Future Trends
نویسندگان
چکیده
The thermochemical conversion of different feedstocks is a technology capable reducing the amount biowaste materials produced. In addition, gasification feedstock using steam as gasifying agent also produces hydrogen, which clean energy fuel. This article aimed to encapsulate current status and explain, in detail, advantages limitations technologies. this review paper, agents such steam, air, oxygen, well their effects on quality syngas production, are discussed. reactor configuration operating parameters, temperature, pressure, equivalence ratio, incorporation catalyst, ratio H2/CO, LHV, yield, tar were critically evaluated. Although sustainable ecologically sound biomass utilization technology, formation main problem process. Tar can condense reactor, clog contaminate equipment. It has been shown that an optimized gasifier high-activity catalyst effectively reduce formation. However, key treatment technologies concepts must first be improved demonstrated at market level increase stakeholder confidence. Gasification driving force integration, replacing fossil fuels with produced gas. support policies usually needed make integration into industry profitable fully functional plants. Therefore, address issues, study focused addressing these issues overview concepts.

متن کاملBiomass for thermochemical conversion: targets and challenges
Bioenergy will be one component of a suite of alternatives to fossil fuels. Effective conversion of biomass to energy will require the careful pairing of advanced conversion technologies with biomass feedstocks optimized for the purpose. Lignocellulosic biomass can be converted to useful energy products via two distinct pathways: enzymatic or thermochemical conversion. The thermochemical pathwa...
